We ended
our day with a map of the world showing where our speakers for the day had come
from. The women represented so many countries showing where Gods work is
being done and the gospel is being shared & Jesus is being accepted from
Indonesia and China to South America.
“Be
strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, be encouraged for the Lord your God
will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1 v 9
Richelle
Web shared a challenging song to start the day saying” Fire blazing in our
heart, we are never going to stop until the whole world knows who you are God”.
She works with SIM NZ and had been in Ecuador and is moving on to Columbia.
Motivated
young women - Delwyn Munn & Jessie Henderson experienced Samoa with Word of
Life and Naomi Wilson spent 6 weeks in PNG making close friendships.
Anni
Pyatt served for 12 years in Indonesia with NTM and said “In mission
sometimes you think you are going to do one thing and then find out God has a
different plan which is even more suited to you”. Learning a new language has
huge challenges but loving people concentrating on the good things gets you
rejoicing in the Lord.
Maire
Lander spent 5 years at Freeset India, Blessed are the poor, trusting the
comforting presence of God when dealing with such broken young woman. In the
pain we are in God’s hands.
Jillian
Gow has spent 40 years in Japan - a culture driven by study and work where
there is little time for God.
Sherrilyn Grainger had been back to
Uganda, to help Simon & Alex to build a home
helping them to become self sufficient in farming the land as well as sharing
the gospel in their neighbourhood and local community.
Meryl
Ashworth is in South Korea after spending 12 years in Ethiopia teaching English
building relationships & sharing life with her students.
Annette
Hill rounded off our day - she had travelled to many parts of the
world and visiting missionaries encouraging us that God is really moving and
thousands of young Christians are in unexpected places.
We had
great food and fellowship, moments to share stories of how ladies have been
used and journeyed through their Christian life.
What a
blessed day we had - so many of us that organised and attended the day, were
truly encouraged how God had used our speakers in so many different countries,
ministries and in so many ways.
